The Memorial City area of Houston recently saw the completion of a new oil and gas office tower, and with it came a stunning landscape transformation. Murphy Exploration, a leading international oil and gas corporation, was in need of a beautiful, elegant landscape to surround their new office tower, so LMC was hired to complete this large-scale LEED project.
The LEED plans from the building architects called for tree planting all around the building, with colorful and classic landscaping along the perimeter. The crown jewel of the outdoor space would be a large outdoor fountain for employees and guests to enjoy throughout the year, as well as a picturesque rooftop garden. For many landscape companies, a project of this size and scope would be daunting and difficult. However, LMC was able to complete the project on time through concise planning, expert leadership, skilled workers and top-quality equipment.
What originally had been a barren exterior filled with dirt and debris was completely transformed by LMC’s Landscape Professionals into a stunning landscape filled with beautiful flowers, lush grass, hearty plants and healthy trees. In addition, LMC’s team installed a top-quality irrigation system to ensure that all the new grass, plants, flowers and trees would receive ample water throughout the year. For this project, LMC utilized a combination of sprinkler heads and drip lines which promotes plants, grass and tree health while also reducing overall water usage, providing the client with additional savings.
